- Mineral Springs received an average of 1" of rain weekly from March 15 to April 15. Even though the rains stopped the last two weeks prior to race day, the Queen's Cup Toro irrigation system automatically put out another over 1.3 million gallons of water on the racecourse to ultimately produce yielding to good running conditions this race day
- On Thursday after the races, the Queen's Cup spread over 166 tons of course sand over the racecourse. All told, over 830 tons (1,660,000 lbs.) of sand has been spread over the course since 2004!
- $50,000 was given as a contribution to the Queen's Cup charity this year - Make-A-Wish Foundation, Central & Western NC Chapter. Since 1995, over $400,000 has been contributed to local and regional charities.
- Since 1995, $1,166,000 has been given away in purse money to the horsemen
- The Toro Irrigation system that irrigates the racecourse, cost the Queen's Cup $235,000. The system includes 65 Toro heads (each head delivers 90 gallons of water each), 13,588 feet of 4 " pipe, a 500 gallon a minute pump and starter
- Queen's Cup has spends on average over $3,000 annually just in electricity running the irrigation system
- Over $500,000 has been raised through PSLs (Personal Space Licenses) to help retire our construction debt
